Rant After Play-Test

Paizo makes it's money on APs and other things, more so than PHBs (I'd guess somewhere in the 10times more area). Wizards can't hold a candle to Paizo adventures. The game itself might not be that much better than 3.5, but the adventures are head and shoulders better and the region specific books are easily equal to WotC's work.
Yeah. And I guess, Paizo will, in an instant, if there is an ogl, support 5th edition.

@Greg K
You know. My initial reaction to the playtest was very positive. Many things tht look right out of the gate.

But when I read the rants and the comments to today´s article, i wished, wotc would scrap the playtest and just design their game.

A lot of gamers are special snowflakes, that rant and whine and behave as someone took their lolly away, when there is any kind of innovation.
Not only D&D... happens with a lot of game systems. Small changes, and many people just complain because there is a change. No matter if the game runs smoother or something.

At least in this rant, the OP tried at least tried to playtest the system. He seemed to miss some things, but still...

Thanks. I don't read carefully and plan to rerun the play-test now I have been corrected on some things.
cool :)

Tomorrow if everything will be as planned, I will have my first playtest session as DM tomorrow.

at this point is most familiar with running 4e and when I had most fun running 3.0
one player´s favourite is ADnD and he does not like the fokus on combat and powers
the other player´s favourite is 3.5 and especially likes customizing his character with feats and prestige classes...

so: 1 DM, 2 Players and 4 different favourite editions. ;) Seems like it will be fun. :)
