[Rant] Bothered by Blockbuster

Since the beginning of this year, I have been receiving automated message from Blockbuster about an overdue video. Just a few minutes ago, I received my fifth message.

Now, here's the kicker. I DO NOT have a Blockbuster account. Didn't sign up. Don't even rent.

Every time I got the message, I called the local Blockbuster store and tell them to take my numbers off. I even called the Region office in my area to take my numbers off. And still, I got an automated message regarding an overdue video.

 AARRRRRGGGHHH!!!!

I just want them to stop calling me because I am not a Blockbuster customer nor will I ever be one.

Hmmm, odd. I get those sometimes, too. I hate them because of the 7 day "grace period". I believe they are automated, so your number obviously got stuck in their database somewhere. Or you are a victim of identity theft.

Try this number. They should be able to find out the problem. If not, write a letter to state's Attorney General's office.

Contact our BLOCKBUSTER Store Customer Care Department - Hours of Operation - 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Central, Monday thru Saturday at 1-800-406-6843.

I get phone calls and emails from the ***** political party in the US that state at the beginning that they are contacting me because I am a known member of the **** political party in the US and am on their voter rolls and donor lists.

But I am not. I've never been or ever intend to be a member of the **** political party, and in fact am actively involved with and voting for ^^^^, another political party in the US.

But being sneaky and such, I let **** think I belong.

Thanks for the numbers. Gawd, I hope this will be resolved soon.

Tell them if they keep calling, you will take legal action and sue them for harassment. That always worked for me whenever a company kept calling me.

Seen someone mentioned your State Attorney General. I had to do that with a collections agency that was calling for some guy. They were pretty rude the last couple times I called them, and after that, I wasn't in any mood to deal with them.
Haven't heard a word from them since I got the AG on them :)

Me, too. I sincerely hope it's just a computer snafu, not someone that stole your identity.
One automated message is a snafu. Five automated messages over the period of the last 5 months are no coincidence. If this is Blockbuster's method of signing up new customers, they can forget about me. :\

Found out somebody's been using my numbers on their account.
