I understand that you may be upset that you are getting the product that you wanted but maybe next time you could pre-order directly from the company so that you guarantee yourself a copy.

Or maybe said company could deliver its product in a manner consistent with its promises. I don't seem to recall hearing the RAR would only be available through WW. And I don't particularly like the idea of being held hostage to being required to buy through a particular distributor, especially when all indications were that this would not be the case.

White Wolf/Necromancer Games, IMO, has an atrocious record when it comes to releasing product. Can you say, City of Brass? Can you say, Bard's Gate? Promises, promises, promises. To be honest, I'm fed up with their production delays and false hype. Now I find out that RAR was only available through WW or by going to GENCON? What a crock of hype and false promotion. If you're not going to offer it through Amazon (or any other distributor for that matter), then get it pulled from their websites long before the release date.

You wanna call it sour grapes? Go nuts. But I've about had my fill of WW/Necromancer Games and they've lost me as a customer.

Right, but they did say quite a few times that it was really risky to order from amazon, and that you should order through your LGS or the WW site instead.

It should still be available at places like frpgames.com and other shops in the hobby trade. It just won't be on amazon.

And when did Necromancer promise that you could buy this book on Amazon? In fact, they said on their board that it was a really risky move.

To be honest, I don't know if Necromancer contacting Amazon about it would have made any difference.

I also find it ironic that you are complaining about White Wolf and Necromancer's product release record and yet you ordered books through Amazon who some regard as being just as much, if not more unreliable.

Wow, good for Necromance Games but sadly bad for me. Since I currently live in Japan it is rather difficult for me to get ahold of some of the preorder stuff. I tried to preorder from WW but they wouldn't ship over here (even though I have an APO box). Well, I'll hope I can get one online through RPGshop or one of the other online shops. Hopefully the campaign setting from Goodman games will be a little easier for me to get ahold of. So keep em coming Necro, I really like your stuff! Next time I'll just have it shipped to a friend in the states and then to me.

Hey man, sorry to hear it. But I think I have made clear that it will be available through game stores. Alliance bought it up. Amazon CAN get it from Alliance if they want to, they just probably won't and if they do they are almost certain not to sell it for $25 or they'll be losing money on each and every copy they sell. If we lose you as a customer because you can't buy a $75 MSRP item for $25 from Amazon.com, well, that is a damn shame.

The people you should complain to are at Amazon. Amazon has had the wrong information and pricing posted for a long time. They received the updated information at least 8 months ago, again 6 months ago, and again 4 months ago. THEY didn't update the information and we certainly can't force them to.

Have a friend order it from a LGS or decent online gamestore. It *IS* going to be available through Alliance so any game store or book store that wants to really can get it, if they get an order in quickly enough (as we hope Alliance sells out to retailers too).

Shipping to Japan can be a real pain.

They said the same thing about the Wilderlands, and I cancelled my amazon order which ended up costing me money, I won't go that route again. Not that I'll be getting it anyway, 70 bucks for something I already own most of is over my budget. Now, if I didn't already have RA 1-3, it would be a different story.
