Pathfinder 1E Rappan Athuk

First Post
I am thinking about running Rappan Athuk and from what I have read it is a pretty intense dungeon. Have any DM's had any success with a particular type of character building rules? Can a group be overpowered?

I was thinking allowing for 25 point builds, with max gold (no item over 100gp), and max hp. Any ideas, successes, or failures? Thanks for the advice.

Cute but dangerous
I usually let players roll it. But that's just a preference. Otherwise I'd stay with the highest available PB.

Groups can be overpowered like any where else. At the beginning, they tend to be underpowered though.

We used average HD but at every 4th level together with stats increase we used full HP so the PCs kept above average.

More important is how well rounded the group is. Don't go anywhere without a healer. Make sure you have someone looking for traps etc.

Also keep in mind that Rappan Athuk is half the fun without the Slumbering Tsar story. And don't go down the well.
