Then explain to me alien 3 and 4. I reinstate the SHUT IT.

Sci-Fi and horror may be apples and oranges, but this is definitely Horror Sci-Fi rather than fantasy Sci-fi or space opera sci-fi or any other convention you want to raise.

I don't even consider Aliens 3 and 4 part of the franchise. I ignore them when considering the Alien line of movies, just as I ignore Godfather 3 and any sequel to First Blood. Crap is crap. I try to keep it out of my home movie collection as much as possible.

This sounds like a one shot watch and drop. Great concept without proper execution. No, I'm not about to shut it because someone else is satisfied with poorly done movies with glaring inconsistencies. I really enjoyed Alien and Aliens. Two great directors built the franchise into something great, and all it took were a few average to poor directors to ruin it.

7 out of 10. Almost wanted to give it an 8.

The people in the theater (it was packed) would hoot and holler whenever an alien and a predator were fighting. I loved it. It was a fun-filled sci-fic action flick. Nothing more, nothing less. JMHO.

Can't wait for AvP 2.

To all the people who complain about the aliens hatching from the human host so quick, 2 words, SHUT IT.

Please take your own advice. If you are going to tell other people not to talk about their opinion of the movie, then you don't get to talk about your opinion of the movie.

Don't read too much into my post.
I have no problem with opinions. I am refering in particular to, let me quote my own post here

I don't ever remember people frothing at the mouth about inconsistancies in those movies.

People have went off the geekometer complaining about this movie. I have no problem with say for example:

Some guy says, "Aliens vs. Predator had a predictable and weak plot making it a poor movie." While I enjoyed it I would agree with that statement.

My problem is with this kind of example:

Some other guy says, "Tht movie sukedd! Teh predators armor didnt look like it did in teh othur movies. That complettly ruined teh movie. Dont go sea it cuz of that."

Everywhere I read posts like that and it drives me up the wall.
