I gave it an 8. It was an enjoyable ending to the series. It had a little too much going on, and some elements seemed to be added just for the fans.

Gave it a six. It was good enough eye candy which didn't annoy me. Sure, it wasn't as good as the first two by any means, but I didn't feel bad about seeing it, and the action sequences I found to be pretty darned good as were the special effects. I actually didn't mind how things wrapped up myself. There were some grating moments however, and yes, some hokey contrivances.

This movie had no plot, just a bunch of pretty action scenes tied between two musical numbers and a dance scene.
Well, that's patently not true at all. This movie was not in the least pretty action scenes tied together with no plot; if anything, it had too much plot and not enough action.
All the buildup about the black suit leading to Venom led to pretty much just a single action sequence that bizarrely featured Sandman even though--yeah; not sure why those two teamed up still. And the Goblin Jr. deal was well enough done, and I can see how it dovetailed with the Spidey arrogance slash black suit theme. I'm left thinking Sandman was the odd man out who didn't fit into the movie as neatly and wasn't strictly necessary for... well, anything.

when you write a story, you either have a plot or no plot. If you have "a lot of plots" and none of them have a definite beginning or end, then you have no plot, and this is what happened in spiderman. Don't want to post any spoilers but you get little resolution from any of the plot threads.

Also, i'mcurious what is a 6 or 7 to some. For me, 5 is average. 6 or 7 is above average. where 8 and 9 is good.

I was a bit disappointed.

I really liked the first two movies, but I felt this one tried to do way too much, and ended up not developing the characters.

Ending? There will be a Spiderman 4. I'd put money on it.

No, you don't either have a plot or no plot. In fact, the inference is pretty absurd. I realize that when you said the movie had "no plot" that that was hyperbole, but it's still absurd, and if anything indicative of exactly the problem the movie didn't have, not the problem it did. As for little resolution,
what the heck?! So, the black suit corrupting spiderman storyline wasn't resolved? I'd say it was developed and resolved handily. How about the MJ/Peter falling out? Same. How about the long-brewing redemption of Harry Osborne? This was finally resolved after not being resolved in the last two movies. I'm not seeing your criticism. At all. It seems a really bizarre one that's actually completely the opposite of how the movie is structured.

I gave it a 5, which is well below the score I gave the first two. I felt it lacked the emotional depth which I saw in the first two, and I found most of the fight scenes to quick-cut, fast and confusing for me to follow. Maybe its my aged eyes, but extra-fast action in real time just looks blurry to me - while some of the slo-mo effects to indicate extra fast action in SM1 & 2 really gave me the sense of extra-fast action. Can't explain why that is, but it contributed to my lack of fun in this movie.

Bottom line - I don't regret seeing it, but I won't bother to watch it again.
