I thought for sure that Cameron would have a case of sour grapes, but he thinks that Johnathon Mostow and Arnold Shwartznegger both did great jobs.

Why would you think Cameron would be bitter about not doing a second sequel? Its not like he hasn't recieved more accolates from his other works (yes I hated Titanic but he did win a slew of awards for it and it made 1.8 billion dollars). I doubt Cameron was too keen on a 3rd kick at the Terminator can.

On the other hand, he absolutely hated Alien 3. But who can blame him? After all, they killed off Hicks.

That was only the first of many problems with Alien 3. Everyone is justified in their hatred of that piece of dung.

I find it interesting that T3 is doing so well both at the box office and even according to the critics (www.rottentomatoes.com has it at about 79% 'fresh' - that is very good). Perhaps the old adage that sequels are nowhere near as good as the original is finally being laid to rest.

I gave it a 9.

I was very impressed with the ending. It made sense, it fit the series, it didn't repeat the mode set in T1/T2, and the good guys didn't win.

 

[Hand of Evil]

I gave it a 7, same as I gave Matrix. Same format as the last two (big chase), less acting, and predictable.
