Raven Crowking's Fantasy Game

"Ulgen I say we scouts out an'a rounds 'ere a bit. Don't need nothin ta sneak up on us as we do a wee bit of splorin' inside," the halfing says after noticing their are no orcs about.

[sblock=OOC] Maybe just walk around the keep as best we can. You should make any spot/search checks. I put Scarven on page 1 for easier access. I need to make a link to that in my signature. [/sblock]

"That sounds like a plan. I am the one who likes to d the sneaking not the other way around." Ulgen says as he begins to move with a grace that would not be thought a large man like him could do.

as for the spot Ulgen isn't that good at that and I can't recall if there was a search check?

[sblock=OOC] Yikes no spot or search tells u how good my memeory is. :p
So how does one search for traps, I mean you can let the DM decide for flavor if a party notices an ambush or not (Hey Notice that would be a good skill). But for traps you should give the PC's a chance before you drop a ton of rock on thier heads.

Notice could incompass Spot/Listen/and Search. And a player could get bonus for different types say an elf with Notice +4 (+6 to hear something), a thief Notice +8(+10 to notice traps) just an ideal, you know if we can test the combat rules but maybe we should take on a second character each (cleric and a wizard) to give the magic rules a go.

EDIT found it :) it is all under Perception saves [/sblock]

Hey sorry for not posting recently. I haven't been feeling too good lately. But I hope to get an update in the next couple of days, perhaps immediately.

As you move around the keep you see that parts of it have collapsed into large piles of rubble. The piles of rubble are so high you can't see what's behind them. However you do hear guttural voices on the other side.

"Greats," Scarven whispers. "We aren't alone here. What do you think we should do, Ulgen?"

Watching out for anything hostile the halfling wonders if there might be a way to draw out the voices.

"I think we may want to look for another entrance, if we can come at them from an angle they aren't expecting maybe we could take out a few a little bit more easily." Ulgen whispers to Scarven

"Ye lead I wills follow." Scarven says drawing hs blades.

[sblock=OOC] And hopefully we can playtest the combat rules :D [/sblock]

You go around the keep, but cannot find any entrances other than the front entrance. You do see a grove of trees some distance behind the keep.

"Try sneakin' in the front or over the walls?" Scarven asked not liking the thought of either but whatever treasure may lay in wait still beckons him to move forward.
