And so d20 claims another campaign fansite...

In all fairness, "d20" helped keep our site alive for an extra couple of years. What d20 did help kill was our ill-fated Masque of the Red Death: The Great War project.

Mangrum,

Any D20 Modern + Ravenloft = Masque of the Red Death projects being discussed?

Arthaus is releasing a d20 MotRD next year, as part of the Ravenloft line. It won't be d20 Modern. I'm not involved with that book, so that's basically all I know.

I am truly sorry to hear that the Kargatane website is closing. It has been Realms of Evil's brother in villainy for a long time and will truly be missed. I visited the site at least three times per week, and even if I didn't post that often at the forums (mostly because I couldn't stand that Azalin fellow), I did try and keep up with what was going on at the Kargatane. I would also like to thank the Kargatane for keeping up with our link trade, as you guys are one of the few people who accepted it and then never removed the link a few months later.

I make the symbol of the evil eye to honor a great site passing into the void of death.

I know exactly where you and your crew are at -- you've done remarkable work over the years. Thank you so much for your dedication to the D&D community.

I, DarkSoldier, was born in the Malodorous Goat Tavern, and it was one of the first message boards I joined and was an active member in, so SotK holds a lot of meaning to me because of that.

Do you know how many posts I had at the Goat? I'd like to keep that number as a reminder.

It is a sad day, indeed, to see our "brothers-in-arms" at the Kargatane leave the web. You have served as a fine example of what an official site could be.

When I was first getting the Whitestone Council together, and working on getting the Dragonlance Nexus going, the Kargatane served as a model for us. To this day, I'm in awe of the work that has been done on the site. You will all be sorely missed.

So, from all of us at Dargaard Keep to all of you at Nedragaard Keep, we wish you the best of luck.

Est Sularus oth Mithas.
