[Ravenloft] The Bookshop is Closing!!

Yes, it's truly sad to see the end of the bookshop (though I would kill to see a last bit of fiction about how Wyan, Ryven, and the rest pack up the Squamous Thing In The Cutlery Drawer and head off back to Darkon). The Kargatane messageboards were the first ever D&D board I registered on, and the Book of Sacrifices was the first place that my writing ever saw the world outside my own hard drive.

John, and the rest of the Kargatane - many thanks for all the years of work you've put into the site. In terms of quantity, quality and scope of material you put the vast majority of the RPG web to shame. Best wishes in the future with whatever future projects you take on.

What about Death Ascendant? The last part of the Requiem series, where Azalin is restored to power? What's happening with that one?

Death Undaunted, you mean. I haven't had the energy or will to work on that in more than a year. As it is, Gazetteer II lays out all the major details; you just need to connect the dots.

What about the downloads at the Kargatane website? Any plans to find a home for them?

Some of the downloads -- namely, the netbooks and a few other items -- will still be hosted on the site for the foreseeable future. Sort of a little museum of our accomplishments.

Others, such as the material from the Black Box, are gone. We don't have the right to host that material now that we've relinquished the "official" title.

As for the rest, we don't have any plans to host it elsewhere, though we have received offers.

I would be more than happy to host the downloads on my site so that everyone can still benefit from the hard work of these folks.

Well, these are very sad news, I lurked a lot in your website and I appreciate the effort you put during these long years.

As other people has said, you will be missed.

I guess I'll have to pick up Gaz2 then.

I'll miss your ubiquitous three-word answers. Will you and the K be posting anywhere else where we might find you?
