Ravenshead, a Unisystem Buffy game [Full, Attention Kalanyr]

If you'd like, we can play it on my message boards. I can give you a forum, permissions to moderate the forum, private threads with the players, room for gaming aids-type things/pictures, character journals, campaign records, etc.. Probably just about anything we could dream up that you guys want.

yangnome, thanks for the offer, that's really generous of you. I'm going to look into how things work on GoAndRoleplay (I've never run a game over there, I've only been a player), but I might well take you up on the offer.

Hi Val, good to see you :) I didn't know you hung out over here on EN World.

OK, I've put some more thought into my second concept. I'd like to run a fairly magic focused game, so I was thinking about having some of the PCs being part of a coven. This doesn't rule out characters like Slayers or Watchers, but I'd want at least two PCs with the Sorcery Quality. I know the concept's still pretty sketchy, but I'm working on it! :)

This isn't to say that I've abandoned the Alternative Sunnydale idea. I like them both, so I'm having a difficult time choosing. Make my life easier by chiming in on which you'd prefer to play in :)

I got a pc I would like to transfer over if you'll have her.. the play by email game is dying and it's an interesting backstory..

Private message me at Goand and I'll tell you.. if you like I'll pull the original version of her and play her

I'm good for whatever we decide. Currently, my MBs are mainly used to control my tabletop game and some PBMB in between sessions. I also have blogs set up for each player. The space and bandwidth aren't an issue. I've never been to goand, but am more than willing to play there or wherever you like, I thought I'd just offer you the alternative where you might have a bit more control/toys to play with.

As for what I want to play, I'm not entirely sure yet. I suppose going and buying hte book might help me make up my mind. Either game sounds like it could have potential though.

A couple of things:

1) Like I said, don't feel that your character must have magical abilities. I'm going for a magic rich setting (by Buffy standards, that is), but a mix of abilities would be a plus, as always. Not that I'd object to everyone being a spell caster, if that's how the characters come out.

2) There will be a delay before the game itself starts, as I want to get a copy of the Magic Box supplement. Once I've got it, I'll be happy to help out with the new rules and stuff.

Right, I'm going off-line to get some sleep. I'll have more for you all in the morning (and hopefully I'll be a little more coherent by then :p).

/me volunteers for the Sorcery quality as well.

/me will fight Sollir to the death with sticks if you decide 1 PC only with the sorcerous quality too. ;)

That's kewl as I just got my notice that my copy is in the mail. :) I will most likely switch some things around for my pc..hopefully there will be some 'suitable' spells and qualities.. don't want to bulk up on sorcery right away...

You know, it's almost worth restricting the PCs just to see that...

It's likely to be a week or two before I get hold of my copy of The Magic Box, as there's this whole shipping across the Atlantic delay :( So, tell me all the good bits when you get your copy :D

I'm thinking of making spell-casting characters White Hats, and mundane characters Heroes (unless someone want to play a mundane White Hat). IME, Hero sorcerers can get a bit powerful when compared to the rest of the cast.

I'm also debating using the Essence Points score from WitchCraft in place of the multiple casting penalty. I think a spell-point system is closer to the feel of the show, but tell me what you all think. If you don't have WitchCraft, don't worry, as I'll explain how it differs from the standard Buffy magic rules if needed.

So far, I've got Kalanyr, KaintheSeeker, Sollir and yangnome definitely wanting to play. I'm happy to run with four PCs, but I could work with a group of up to six.

EDIT: Looking back over the thread, Jemal might also want to play, and I'm saving a slot for someone else who might be interested. So, for the moment at least, I'm not accepting any new players.
