Reactions to Primal Magic in Dark Sun

Who do the templars serve?

The campaign is set in Tyr some weeks after the overthrow of Kalak, so the city is currently under the rule of King Tithian, who still works to consolidate power. Basically, the state of affairs as per the 4E DSCS.

They may confuse Magic Stones to be arcane, but it depends (I forget the fiction f that power).

Here's the fiction:
Three small stones clutched in your hand glow with a green light as you throw them, then explode when they strike your foes.

Templars will naturally be wary of any "hero" not working for them, displaying any power source. They would be skilled in detecting an arcane spell or primal power (generally speaking). I wouldn't outright prohibit the use of primal powers (unlike arcane) but SKs would never allow powerful individuals (much less "heroes") to run free.

The Templars won't be there to witness the PC actions, though it's possible that the public figure and any bodyguards (all minions) might be able to convey what happened at the scene, should they survive, of course.

Ultimately, I think the Templar's ex post facto investigation at the scene and any reactions therein will come down to PC actions and the results of the dice. I'm just thinking of ways to frame the scene appropriately without setting any rails or applying DM Force (should you be following any of the discussions on game styles hereabouts these days).

One thing I did in my brief time runnit DS, before the group scattered due to life aggro, was to have powerful Primal magic do the opposite of defiling.

So, atwill stuff tended to be neutral, and could often pass as psionic, encounters made the land and creatures near it feel more alive, subtly, and dailies could, especially in a dramatically appropriate moment, make things grow nearby, make sick people feel better, soothe aches and pains, make the area just vaguely feel less harsh and dead, or even cause folk to experience enhanced emotions.

Our reflavored Fey warlock (flavored as a primal Pact, and primal magic instead of arcane, bc I like doing that with warlocks) once used a power in an improvised situation, and people started crying uncontrollably. Might have been cuz stuff started growing randomly, though.
