The next 2 sets of Legendary Encounters Releases will include Goblins, Zombies, A Gnoll, An Ettin, A Demoness, Kobolds, A Bathalian, Ghosts, A Succubus, and A Giant Worm. Would those be helpful?
It was noted later that there will be 2 Gnolls, an archer and a melee version. Bathalians are Reapers version of Illithid/Mind Flayers. They didn't elaborate on the Demoness, but it could be assumed to be a Succubus (since that's what their 'spokesmodel' is) (edit: I got a little over-excited at getting the scoop, since they mention a Succubus already...).

Hmm, you know I've never considered Reaper minis. Are they plastic or metal?

Both. That is, Reaper has done metal minis for years -- but now they're doing pre-packaged, non-random, blisters of plastic minis for roleplayers (for when you absolutely need 50 orcs and don't want to buy $300 worth of D&D random minis to get them).

That is freakin' awesome. Thanks for the heads up!

Yes, yes, it is. I suspect that D&D minis will be in for some serious competition, in fact. And competition between companies can only lead to good things for consumers :)

They're...they're metal, dude.

You've been spending to much time in seclusion -- Reaper announced a new line of non-random, plastic, fantasy minis two months back (PPM is short for "Pre-painted Plastic Minis") ;)

[Edit: Here's a link]

[Edit: jrients has some updated pricing info here.]

Thats just a bit condescending. I'm trying to learn about a product, how else am I going to do that without asking questions.

Hey, I was just joshin'. Shoulda thrown a smiley on there.

Honestly? I'm an insufferable pimp for Reaper Minis. They've got the best looking stuff on the block bar none. Other than otherworld minis' "D&D Giants" line, their stuff is the closest approximation to old D&D illos. Take a gander at their fire giant:

...

That to me is the spitting image of Dave Trampier's fire giant from the MONSTER MANUAL. A lot of their stuff is light on the spikes and mohawks and heavy on the old style goodness - but with modern techniques and sculpting methods so it looks gooooooood.

Pick up a few - you'll be happy you did.
