D&D 5E Recommend A Book (or 5) To Buy

I just purchased the new Midgard Worldbook (already have the first version) and it is great. Even if you don't run it, it has tons of great ideas. Midgard is a bit like fine wine: the more deeply I dive into it, the better it gets. I'd also recommend their Southlands book.

Tal'Dorei is also a nice setting book, but doesn't go into the same depth.

If you want something non-D&D to draw inspiration from, I highly recommend the very evocative Symbaroum game. The art is incredible and it is just so damn atmospheric.

Moving into SF, I also recently got the Coriolis game. Science fiction gaming seems to be having a bit of a renaissance and this is a gem.

I want the Midgard stuff + Tome of Beasts but Amazon and Bookdepository do not seem to have it. I want the Campaign setting, heroes handboook and ToB.

Where did you get yours from? Note I live in New Zealand so the discounts online help offset the postage costs.

I live in New Zealand and got midgard from the kickstarter, so you should have no troubles ordering it from Kobold Press.

I bought Midgard from Noble Knight via EBay, but it looks like they’re sold out. I’m sure they’ll get it back in stock.

I got Tome of Beasts on Amazon but that was a couple years ago.

By the way, I wouldn’t expect to get too much of a discount from small press books. It is really only the WotC and sometimes Paizo books that are heavily discounted. But keep your eyes on EBay and you might want to check out RPGNet’s trading forum.

I used my amazon account to get the ToB for one of my players.

Created an account at the Kobold Press site. I'll get the midgard trilogy, mordenkainens and Wayfarers guide. Postage is gonna hurt lol.

I like book depository. Discounts are not as deep as Amazon but the do free postage to NZ so the overall price is similar. Amazon has not done free postage deal here for a few years. I bought 13 books at once when they did:).
