Thanks. I'll reconsider my aversion to CRT...

I've dealt with Samsung for years, and while they have made some dramatic improvements in the last 5 years, I wouldn't buy anything except a Sony when it comes to direct view tubes. Just my two cents.

Not knowing your budget, I have to chime in and say I *love* my Toshiba DLP (62HM84) set.

When watching DVD's (via my Samsung HD941 that outputs 720p over HDMI) the picture is absolutely stunning. I saw detail when watching Return of the King that I couldn't see in the theater...

Not only that, but DLP's will never suffer from burn-in.
