Recommendations for a new adventure module/path PLEASE!

Forsythe

First Post
Hello all,
The group I DM have all agreed to start a new campaign trying the new 3.5 rules. I think it will be an improvement over 3.0, but that is not really my question. We have played Return to the Temple of EE, and the adventure path series that WOTC released for 3.0....what should we try for our first 3.5 series!?!

Seriously, I was hoping wotc would release a new adventure path series or megaadventure for 3.5....if they have someone please tell me.

Barring that, what recommendations does anyone have for a new campaign that I could buy?

GH or FR is fine, I would hope the adventure would allow leveling from 1-3 up to 10+.

Thanks,
Forsythe

I am not sure much has yet been produced specifically for 3.5. If you don't mind converting, perhaps the "... in Freeport" series from Green Ronin Publishing - www.greenronin.com - will serve you well. Lots of support for Freeport, as well.

Monkeygod Enterprises - www.monkeygodenterprises.com - has a large number of adventures available, as does Necromancer Games - www.necromancergames.com. The drawback is that you might have to work a bit to make them fit together smoothly - moreseo with Monkeygod than with Necromancer, though.

Good luck.

No modules coming out from WotC for the foreseeable future.

Dungeon magazine will probably be the quickest to publish 3.5 adventures, and I think I read that their Adventure Path will be switching to 3.5 rules soon.

Dungeon magazine has actually been all-3.5 for some time now.

Their Adventure Path looks great from what I've seen so far. The first three chapters are in issues #97, #98, #102. It's also better integrated than the original 3rd edition adventure path.

My adventure path series of adventures at Dire Kobold (www.direkobold.com) might have what you are looking for. The path starts at 4th and is going to go to 15th or so, but their dynamically scalable system means that you can make the adventures for whatever level, party composition, and game style you like.

I agree with Wil

One of the sad things about GenCon 2003 was that I didn't run into Wil Upchurch. We had a brief, but meaningful, run-in in the men's washroom in 2002* but were unable to repeat it this year.

I will follow Wil's own recommendation by stating that I think he's an awesome designer and I buy whatever has his name on it.

*Mostly this encounter consisted of threatening eachother to reveal nasty (and untrue) things on the ENBoards. I believe he ran out telling me that he'd be posting about me not washing my hands (which I do compulsively, thus avoiding SARS!!!) :)

I heard that you were at home recovering from SARS and that's why we didn't meet up this year.

I couldn't find you guys to pick up some of the Arcana Unearthed products. Sad for me I wasn't able to get *any* AU stuff at the con, hopefully I"ll see y'all at GAMA next year. :)
