Currently, Article 13 of the A5e compatibility logo reads as follows:

1. We strongly support the artists in our creative community. Your product may not contain images created by AI.

It occurs to me that the policy currently says nothing about text being generated by AI. At present, someone could have ChatGPT write their work for them and still use the logo as long as all of the visuals were made by humans.

I would love to see this policy tightened by specifying that the product cannot contain images or text created by AI. While both of these items are increasingly hard to enforce, my impression is that this change would better represent what EN Publishing has long stood for.

I have a couple of changes I want to make when I get time--one of which is providing the logo on a plain solid white background as most 3PPs just whack it on a busy background where it is almost invisible. But yes, including a prohibition on AI text in the license is planned imminently. Whether that's enforceable is another matter--people tell me I'm using ChatGPT every time I use m-dashes, which I will use till my dying day--but at least the statement of intent will be there.
