Alternatively, you can just ready an action (example: Doren charges enemy X immediately after it moves into square Y.). This method would keep your initiative in its normal spot at the top of the list.

Hehe, well, that one-shot ate up two encounter powers and an action point, so it definitely required significant resources.

The trick with assassins is that their damage potential is pretty high (especially with that sneak attack rider), but they can't -take- damage. Which means in a one on one fight, they have to end it as fast as possible. Decisively.

If your assassin had performed a nova like that on Thorn, she'd have been the one dead. Hence my ardent desire to do it first.

Meh changing my action to go AFTER them gives me the advantage to react from their actions and also give the elves direction before they move as well.. So going just after the thugs to me is fine.... it gives me strategic advantage.

Form up I'm trying hard to get surrounded LOL I want to use my Strength of Valor ability it is my only multiple targets power, but is Close burst 1

So I want at least three maybe four guys to attack with it.
