So, I've mentioned this to most of you, but I have been suffering from a sort of DM's (Writer's) Block when it comes to running my PBP games. I really, really don't want to quit any of them, so I've had an idea - I'd like to run a SHORT "One Shot" - style "Refresher" PBP to get me back into the swing of things. I'd be putting my current games on pause during this, but as they're already not moving forward quickly, that shouldn't be an issue. The idea is to get them going again when we're done.
A (minor, first-world) problem: I expect I'll probably have TOO much interest for one game. I guess I'd be willing to run two groups, as I did with my Against the Giants game. I plan to run something that's shorter than that (something designed to be run in 1-or-2 face-to-face sessions would be ideal).
I'm not sure exactly what I'll run yet, but it will be 5e D&D 2024, due to the "shared language" of that game (and not because I think it's a very good fit for PBP, it's really not) and I'll put it at Level 3, so we can play with subclasses. (With the possibility of bumping it to Level 4 if that works better for whatever I find, or y'all beg me for the fun of having that feat).
I'll start by inviting my "usual suspects" - those of you who are playing my current games, but if you're a "lurker" who wants to give it a try, or someone who's played with me before but had to back out, feel free to throw up your hand.
Before you volunteer to play, I'd like you to consider: The point of this is to get things GOING, not slow it down, so if you want to play, please commit to posting between ONCE A DAY or at LEAST every-other-day. If you don't think you can do that, then just wait for us to be done. I hope it will be quick. I will do my best to keep it quick.
