Regeneration, damage reduction & level loss

Hi. I would like a clarification how the following qualities and spells interact
The example is taken by a Cornugon demon subject to the Enervation spell
The Cornugon has SR, regeneration and gets real damage only by spells with the descriptor Good (and of course good weapons but this is not the issue here)
So, suppose a wizard overcomes SR and casts Enervation to the Cornugon for say
2 levels. What happens ?
The demon loses 10 hp ?
The demon takes 10 hp of non-lethal damage ?
And anyhow the demon loses two levels ?
Thanks

The demon gains two negative levels which has the following effect:

A creature takes the following penalties for each negative level it has gained:

* -1 on all skill checks and ability checks.
* -1 on attack rolls and saving throws.
* -5 hit points.
* -1 effective level (whenever the creature’s level is used in a die roll or calculation, reduce it by one for each negative level).
* If the victim casts spells, she loses access to one spell as if she had cast her highest-level, currently available spell. (If she has more than one spell at her highest level, she chooses which she loses.) In addition, when she next prepares spells or regains spell slots, she gets one less spell slot at her highest spell level.

Its not hit point damage so regeneration should have no effect. So, -10 hp and his max HP is reduced by 10.
edit: although the enervation spell doesn't specify that you lose HP, I'd assume that you do.
