Doluhre Academy Training [Regional]
You have been through the academy in Doluhre, receiving Legionnaire training and focused particularly on the Gladius. In your hands, it is a much more lethal weapon due to your extensive training in the use of this short, stabbing weapon.
Prerequisites: BAB +1 and gone through the academy in Doluhre, Ulruz.
Benefit: When wielding a Gladius (Ulruz short sword) and a Scutum (Ulruz large shield) the damage die of the Gladius becomes 1d8 rather than 1d6.
Special: This feat may be taken at PC creation if the character is from Ulruz, regardless of race or class there, and regardless of BAB. However, non-Hobgoblins will have attended as freemen and will, at the DM's discretion, be considered deserters from a Legion's auxiliary forces. Hobgoblins will have attended as Citizens, either because their family provided the means or because their Patron (see the Ulruz Gazetteer) paid for it.
