Registration Experience (Good or bad?)

Check this out (at the 4 hr point of this torture):

After hundreds of refreshes, I get:

Leslie Foster is trying to register over the limit for RPG00474 - HackMaster World Championship Qualifier

Leslie Foster currently has 0 registrations, 2 in the cart, and you are trying to add 1 more.
The maximum number of registrations per person is 2.

So it's adding them in but:

- You don't know if you it does the 1st time.
- You can't see your cart to confirm this; and clear out the duplicates.

No wonder events are "filling up"

You play Hackmaster? Me too! :) Don't take all of my tickets! I have to sign up my whole team!

Here's some updated information:

Event registration is live. They system is very slow at this point due to the number of connections. We have lowered the amount of maximum users on the system in an effort to increase the speed of transactions once logged in.

I actually was able to add events! (still can't see my cart, though....)

Cool - I'm not trying to take them all. I only wanted ONE and it stopped me from getting a THIRD. If I can get to my cart, I'll kill the extra one.

We are going to shut down the servers from 5:00 pm PST on 5/16/05 to 7:00 am PST on 5/17/05 to perform a database upgrade on the system. We hope this will increase connectivity and response time for event registration. If you had soemthing in your cart, it will remain there until you check out. We apologize for the inconvenience.

You'd think the upgrade should have been done BEFORE it became live?? Just asking.

Absolutely lame.... One, just the time you want to be doing a database upgrade, the first night registration opens. After all what was all the time between the badge registration fiasco and now used for. And two, "we hope"? What the heck is that!
