Registration Experience (Good or bad?)

I'm finally done.

Finally.

Damn.

Well, couldn't get the whole group together for True Dungeon, but I managed to get 2 slots for 3 people each. Kinda-yay!

The only thing I couldn't get at all was my Life-Sized Kill Doctor Lucky game. Didn't see that coming. That was in the "register for these last, they'll be no problem" list.

After fighting for four hours yesterday and two today I got five events:

Two Conan games
a D&D game with a GM I played with last year
A mutants and masterminds game
a car wars game

I could not get into Iron Lore or a Warhammer RPG game that I tried. All in all not bad but way too much work.

When are the Ennies?

well after an hour and a half of trying. I was able to get the events I wanted loaded in my cart. I wanted to play a Dilgar Bablyon 5 rpg adventure but it was sold out.

I'm going to GenCon! And I have stuff to do when I get there!

Finally finished with minimal difficulty. It was still slow but it get better rather quickly. I got everything I want except for one or two things but found equally good replacements.

I hit *SUBMIT PAYMENT* and was given this error:

I'm so close. I'm trying to checkout. Does anyone know, if I have problems checking out, will the games stay in my cart?

I don't know... but, I hope not. If so - I fear I may have lost everything.

I entered my visa info and everything... *flips GenCon the bird*

I can see your point, unfortunately that would probably be a LOT more expensive and prone to error (believe it or not!) than the online reg system.

The main issue I have with their system is that it is not robust enough to handle the real-life demands.
That's how they did it 5 years ago... and yes it was a more horrible process. I'm curious, how many years have some people on here gone. I've been going 5 years straight and I do think the process gets better each year. My first year was horrible as there was no real checking system and the lines to play were super long. If you didnt get there wednsday you'd be waiting for some time to play.

This will take time.
