Registration Experience (Good or bad?)

I've been looking at a white loading page for approx 34 minutes. I don't have much hope.

This is worse than last year! I was registered for all of my events by 8pm the day registration opened.

Exactly. And so do a lot of other websites. It's not difficult, it just takes cash. If you have enough cash, you can built a network that can handle a ton of normal traffic as well as DOS (denial of service) attacks.

Who is "they"? You mean the company that organizes GenCon? Uh uh. No way. From what I've heard, the company that runs GenCon employs like 6 people. They also don't have anything to do with Star Wars.

??? Gencon ran the Starwar celebration and that madea boatload of money for the company. Also, Ticketmaster has had instances where they oversold tickets "during its first incarnations." Now Ticketmaster only sels a certain amount of the house tickets. They use the remaining tickets as a way to comfort themselves if there is an accident.

Same old story with the GenCon website. Useless. They obviously didn't learn their lesson or just don't care.

I'm trying to log into the site right now.... although the first page will come up, I still get "cannot find server" when I submit the login form.

I'm lucky. We have open web access no naughty stuff of course and my doors closed. But the GenCon server sucks! And NO events yet in my cart. I've e-mailed the GenCon folks and alls they say is "We are working on the server configuration" arggh!
