Regrets of GENCON: What did you wish you did pick up?

On Sunday, as everyone was closing down, one of the vendor booths was throwing boxes of Mage Knight minis to people. The guy next to me caught one. He was tiny. I wish I'd picked up my elbow just a little bit higher, and it could have been MINE!

I wish I'd seen the BattleBox. It sounds like something I need for my game. HeroScape looked really cool too. I wish I would have at least been able to play the demo (I probably would have bought it). Since I'm engaged (and she came with me Sunday), I couldn't have picked up a booth babe (or a gamer babe, for that matter). I should have stopped by the ENWorld booth more often. Every time I walked by, it was so packed, and I didn't want to interrupt anything.

Next year will be a better con. I learn more about what I should/can do each time I go. :)

Regrets

Regrets...I had a few.

Like so many others, the Battle Box from Fiery Dragon I passed up and regretted it. Will be getting it once they get it on their site.

And the SQWIRE templates, they almost had me, but instead I decided to 'think it over' and never got back.

Otherwise I came back with a suitcase filled that completed my wish list, so I was happy.

Two things I thought were regrets that really weren't (?) was Blackmoor and Eberron. From a collection standpoint I sorta wanted them, but from a 'I now have more campaign settings and a backlog of books to use' to last until I die I had to cut the line somewhere.

It's not like I can't get these later, but these things were either on my list, or I added them to my list but never got around to picking them up:

Counter Collection Digital-I kept swingning by the Fiery Dragon booth to get it, but was continually told "It hasn't arrived yet". I did pick up the Battle Box and The Dungeon Tiles, so they got some of my $.

Steel Sqwire templates-I wanted them, but couldn't justify the cost.

Dungeon Crawl Classics #7-10-I did pick up #11 from the ENnies booth, but didn't get the other 4 I don't have.

Crystal Caste dice-I was debating which color to get on Sunday afternoon, and just as I made up my mind to go with the new light blue "Fire Opal" color, someone else bought the last complete set of that color

They had sold out of the Battle Box by Sunday when I stopped by. The SQRIE templates are tempting. Anyone using them in their games yet? How do they play out?

One thing is that the Battle Box and the SQRIE templates look like they cover some of the same ground. Magnificent Egos also had a bunch of spell effects in miniature form like the old floating hand bit so I don't know if I want the Battlebox or the other goodies.

I saw those as well, and was on the fence about buying the whole "Spell Book" set they had-Bigby's Hand, Flaming Sphere, Spiritual Weapons, etc. I never got back to pick them up. They also had a really nice Falconer miniature that I almost bought as well.

A few more things I didn't get:

The set of 3 Falconers from the Confrontation miniature line.

Mechamorphosis from FFG's Horizon game line
