Now that details on the remaining WoTC D&D 2007 schedule is out (see this thread by Abyssal Maw on The RPGSite) what's your opinion on what's coming up?

UPDATE 2/19: the slide show of the WoTC presentation for 2007 schedule is up over on Hordelings forum (thanks MerricB for the link)! Warning - it has tons of photos, so the page takes a few minutes to load completely!

Here's a rundown from one of the posts:

Complete Scoundrel:
* Ambush and Luck feats
* An excuse to 'respec' your character

Complete Champion
* quests and crusades
* divine causes, but not directed at a specific class.

Magic Item Compendium
* Same concept as Spell Compendium
* "Magic item sets"
* 1000 items.

Dungeonscape
* aimed at players and DMs
* Written by Rich Burlew (Order of the Stick!)

Drow of the Underdark
* The definitive Drow sourcebook

Eberron: The Forge of War
* detailed look at the last war.
* Run campaigns that have to do witht he last war.

Exemplars of Evil
* Cr 5 to CR 21 villians compensium with plots, lairs, and adventure hooks.
* Includes a Villiany how-to guide.

Monster Manual V
* New monsters! (duh)
* new variations of some classic D&D monsters in encounter format
* Less maps than MM IV, but very detailed encounters
* July 17th

Dragons of Eberron
* includes a look at Argonessen

Rules Compendium
* All the important rules.
* Comprehensive easy to reference format
* Sidebars on the rules from the designers

Adventure Hardbacks (Like Expedition to Ravenloft)
* Undermountain
* The Demonweb Pits
* Ruins of Castle Greyhawk

Forgottten Realms:
* Anauroch, Shadowdale, Cormyr: 3 hardback volumes that can be put together to form a 1-20 campaign arc, or played individually. Adventure Path.

Some more Adventure Paths connected to Fortress of the Yuan Ti (but I missed it)

Dungeon Tiles
* Ruins of the Wild
* Cavern Set
* some very cool stuff

Inn-Fighting
* The D&D Tavern Brawl Dice Game (like 3 dragon ante)
* It could be a drinking game! haha.

Dungeon Survival Guide:
* Aimed at NON-D&D players who enjoy the fantasy genre.
* Explores the classic dunegons graphically.
* A visual guide, gift item, cofee table book.

Grand History of the Realms
* The complete timeline history of the Forgotten Realms
* Appeals to fans of both the novels and useful reference to FR campaigners.
* Essays from FR dudes like Greenwood and Salvatore.

Confessions of a Part-Time Sorceress
* aimed at introducing women to the hobby.
* "A girls guide to the D&D game"

Personally, there's more out this year that I'm looking forward to than in either 2005 or 2006. I think the reason is the focus on more adventures and books aimed at DMs wanting to kick their game up a notch. I also like the focus on bringing more people into the game with the Survival Guide and Confessions. When I told my wife about the Confessions book, she asked if she can expect it under the tree this Yule. ;)

I'm definitely interested in several of the books that are coming out this year. However, I can't say that I'm anticipating anything more than any other year. I already have Complete Scoundrel and Dungeonscape. What I'm REALLY interested in in this order are the Rules Compendium, Magic Item Compendium, and Monster Manual V, and Complete Champion. I really wish they hadn't decided to cancel the DM's Kit. I was looking forward to a trade paperback version of the DM's Guide. I'm pretty ambivalent about the Realms and Ebberon so I usually only look at them to see if there is anything of interest to me (which usually there isn't).

My wallet leapt for joy at the new list of books!

Of course, that isn't a good thing for WotC. There are only two books I'm interested in:

Drow book - should be cool. I loved the Draconomicon, want LoM, LM was okay (but I didn't buy it). I hope the drow book is at least as good as LoM and with some prayer maybe it'll be the Draconomicon only for drow!

Complete Champion - I really have enjoyed the COmplete Series books, although I passed on CPsi. I also passed on CS ... so I am cautious about CC.

Other than that, I don't buy setting info. So none of those things will excite me.

I would have voted, but that 4E comment in the third option gave me no option to go for.

Did I miss a board rule where 4E has to be in every single thread, no matter tha topic?

Yep. Its right up there beside the rule that says someone always has to whine when someone so much as mentions 4e. ;)

As far as the release schedule goes, I'm undecided. I'm up for Dungeonscape and the Tile releases. And I like adventures too....but there's a lot of adventures coming out. I already have Ravenloft, so I'm busy for a while before I need another. Thos FR ones sound kinda cool though. Greyhawk too.

Since Expedition the Castle Greyhawk is the first official Greyhawk product to come down the line in, like, six years, I'm all for it. (And in hardback no less!) It'll be on my shelf the day it comes out.

I'm glad that alot more adventures are coming out. Those are the products that I've been Jonesing for for years.

Considering I dont have a job this is the perfect amount of products to get for my birthday and Christmas. Aside from the coffe table type of books, eberron, the chick book and the expeditions (Or any adventures for that matter) it all looks pretty darn good. Though if I had the money i'd buy them all regardless. Ha!
