Removing Extensions....For dummies

Can anyone help me remove two of my extensions, they seem to be stuck in a perpetual state of uninstallation but are never removed when I restart Firefox.

I tried before and had to reinstall firefox, mainly because I found the guidlines at the Firefox website to hard to understand. Can anyone help?

if you continue to have these sorts of issues uninstalling certain extensions, I'd contact the extension authors and hope it can get sorted out

using the latest version of firefox also can help reduce problems. the latest is 1.0.6 currently

One suggestion from that article is to just make a new profile instead of uninstalling the extensions. You should export your bookmarks and make a note of the other extensions to reinstall.

Yes, just creating a new profile is the best option and probably faster. Especially after you've done it a few times. I think I must have created hundreds of Firefox profiles

Do a "partial profile backup" to conserve the things in your profile that you NEED. Like bookmarks (and optionally, cookies, password info, form info, etc.)
