I played with this one group back in 2e days...
The DM had some specific wire-fu monk classes that he wanted to bring into FR. He showered anybody that played that class with equipment and GP like they were going out of style... I probably played 3 sessions with the group in this configuration. The DM showed up to game 2+ hours late all three sessions. Don't ever treat my free time like that again! Ugh!
The next group I was in had a couple of the same players, but we never played the same campaign for more than 3 weeks at a time. He would set up the rules of the campaign, a compelling world of one sort or another, then decide a couple of weeks later that he "Wasn't happy with the way things were going". The man should never have been a DM.
I think he's more happy playing Warhammer and 40k instead. To each his own I suppose.
