Reputation in Wheel of Time

Hey, I just saw the WoT reputation rules and wanted a refresher on reputation.

What are the DCs for being recognized? Something like 20 for hometown, and 45 for another continent?

I haven't looked at that for a long time, but 20 for your home town sounds really high. Home metropolis maybe.

The reputation rules in WoT was WotC's first go at it. There have been a number of refined variations of it, such as those appearing in Star Wars and Modern.

I want a revised edition in 2008, coinciding with the paperback of Book 12 (the last book of the Wheel of Time) so that the authors don't have to worry about any spoilers.

After book 10, Jordan was pretty inistant that there were only two books left (though I was quite skeptical) after claiming "at least three more books" from about the time of book 5 to the post-book 9 signing tour. I didn't see how book 10 could have changed anything, since nothing happened in that book, but the advance copy for book 11 is billing it as the second to last book, so I guess Jordan is convinced he can do it.

Yeah, but what he's not telling us is how HUGE the 12th book is going to be! It will probably have more pages in it than all his other books put together!

And nothing will happen in any of those four copies. *Sigh*
