Request for mod feedback on spam

I've reported a few posts for spam, and as per request* posted in the thread. However, since the spam gets deleted entirely, it leaves an awkward situation with the reporter's post. Is there any way for the mods to either remove those posts as well, or "mod speak" on the post to say they cleared it?

I don't think we've seen any suggestion before this that the leftover post (which usually just say, "spam reported," or somesuch) is in anyone's way.

Heck, someone can give you XP for reporting spam. There's a coolness

I'd rather not set up a precedent where we need to clear more than just a spam post. We can wipe out all of one spammer's posts/threads in about five clicks, but checking each thread for other peoples' comments would take us much, much more time. Spam is a pain in the butt already, and the value of doing so wouldn't reach the cost. Better than the original poster simply edit their post on their own.

The one exception might be PbP threads, but they're sort of a special case.

Yeah, like PC said - if a spammer has left 15 spam messages on various threads, we can click "delete all posts as spam and ban user" and it's done. Adding "go into each of those 15 threads and leave a message" a half-dozen times a day suddenly makes spam an actual hassle than a minor inconvenience.
