Reserve Feraotds?

Does this exist in a source material that I can look into, or are you suggesting something homebrewed?

Are you suggesting that someone can fain a feat they do not have by using a magic item?

And are you tracking as to how other people were confused? Getting "Feat Rods" from "Feraotds" requires some IRL skill in Concentration, Decipher Script and Sense Motive on our parts. And that's only if we know to even try for a skill check.

I thought it was obvious. F E A T R O D S. Rods that contain feats.

And there are numerous examples of items that duplicate feats.... yet not one that I can think of are Reserve Feats.

The Reseve feats- which are a form of Metamagic- themselves will rarely break a game. Metamagic rods rarely break games, even when they grant uses of game-breaking feats. Metamagic Rods of non-gamebreaking Reserve feats are unlikely to break your game, assuming you use the established rules for other Metamagic rods.

The issue here is that unlike metamagic rods that tend to have X uses per day, Reserve Rods would be usable endlessly... else you might as well just buy a wand.

Further, if you can put one reserve feat into an item... can you put more than one reserve feat into an item? There are some reserve feats that can be extremely useful under the right circumstances.

Unless here are already separate rules for Reserve rods, they should follow the limited uses mechanic because Reserve Feats ARE Metamagic Feats.

Reserve Feats are not metamagic feats as far as I know, fyi. "Feraotds" would not be akin to metamagic rods so much as items that actually grant feats, such as the Dark Blue Ioun Stone.

Checked it out- Dandu, as usual, is correct.

Still, the same logic applies: if the underlying feat isn't game-breaking, an item that grants it will be unlikely to be game-breaking.

"feraotds"

FE-A-T--
--R-O-DS

The first two letters of "feraotds" is the first word, than the third letter belongs to the second word, than the fourth letter belongs to the first word, than the firth letter belongs to the second word, the sixth letter belongs back in the first word, while the last two letters are in the second word.

Seriously, this is a word jumble, not the words "Feat Rods" smooshed together as featrods.

Can you seriously not see the very messy typo and understand why we were confused?

Now typos themselves, totally understood. Sometimes we're tired, rushed, whatever. Making a typo is not a problem. Missing the typo, that happens also. Ignoring the fact that you made a typo when people point it out...
