D&D 5E Resources for a 5E Post Apocalyptic Hack

Every year I run big extended con games at Carnage in VT and TotalCon in MA. Last year I did an ongoing hex crawl using 5E and really fell in love with the system. This year I want to go Post Apocalypptic (it's one of my favorite genres, plus FALLOUT 4 !!!!!!) but I want to stick with D&D 5E as a base because the game is fast and fun and, frankly, likely to attract more sign ups than another random generic or PA system.

What resources are out there to get me started? I don't care if it's official, 3rd Party, semi-pro or some dude's blog. I am just looking for ideas on how to integrate tech, remove magic and reskin D&Disms as Fallout/Gamma Worldisms. Also, for anyone who has experience with using Pathfinder resources with 5E, how hard would it be to use the a Technology Guide with 5E?

Thanks!

It's still basicly d20, so you can poke around d20 apocalypse for some stuff. You know rules for scavenging and building things.

I have thought about converting the tech guide, but it's kind of hard. A lot of the items in it would need to be totally redone because they lean on mechanics that just don't exist now.

A lot depends on what kind of apoc you will do. Are you going to do fallout fallout, maybe zombies, or something else? I have been toying with the idea of zombies. I have some basic rules for scavenging, and building with a general idea of leveling. (You pick a background and then you get a perk each level.)

I am inclined toward Fallout-esque Pa with an extra level of the weird. I worked on the d20 version of Gamma a World, for example. I like more human protagonists but otherwise Darwin's World is right in my wheelhouse.

What was the world pre-apocalypse? 20th century Earth? 15th century? What kind of fallout is going to take place? Anti-magic? Radiation? Demon gates?

Strictly speaking, most D&D settings are already post-apocalyptic. Forgotten Realms appears to have regularly scheduled apocalypses. They're like earthquakes in California. Dark Sun is also post-apocalyptic. So is Dragonlance. And Eberron, IIRC. Technically, even Greyhawk is post-apocalyptic (Rain of Colorless Fire and the Invoked Devastation).

Obviously, that's not what you're going for, but it leaves the question open of: what are you looking for?

See my post directly above yours.

In case you are not familiar with Fallout or Gamma World, I am talking about an advanced modern civilization -- maybe a hundred years in our future -- and a nuclear/bio/chem/laser/mass driver WMD apocalypse leading to the near extinction of mankind, the end of civilization and the scavenging of old hi-tech to dominate wastelands full of mutants and mad machines, with the occasional vault or arcology serving as an extension of past civilization into the dark age survivalist Mad Max With Dinosaurs future.
