You may think someone already posted this, but they didn't. You haven't heard my story.
I run a forum, much like this one. It has roleplaying, it has literature forums, etc. It's called IceFall, and I created it to be a compendium of what I see as the world's greatest up-and-coming Writers and Artists, where they can get together and brainstorm ideas, bounce them of each other, and have a great time doing it.
I've wanted many more members than I've gotten at my site, and I decided to advertise here on Wizards via my sig.
Well, I've gotten the attention I craved. However, I also got disrespected. And I don't mean my pride, as in a street kind of 'disrespect'. I mean seriously disrespected.
About a month ago, a new member on IceFall created a topic--two actually. They were entitled very simple things, and posted in the literature section. I thought they were stories, and proceeded to click on the topic, only to discover---to my horror—pictures, these pictures were so bad. I promptly closed the window, went to the restroom in my school, and emptied my stomach into one of the toilets.
This was by a member called [edited]
I banned her, thinking, ‘Perhaps this is just a big mistake’. One month later, after her ban…
Today, it happened again. She and another member named [edited], whom I’ve heard of on this very site, I believe, post two topics like this, perhaps even three. Luckily, my savvy admins and moderators caught them and promptly deleted the topics, which contained more pictures, and even more offensive language.
From very reliable sources, and checking the IP addresses available to me as Admin of IceFall, I have discovered that there are indeed two perpretators: one [edited], and from what I hear, [edited]. Or, at least, someone pretending to be him.
Something needs to be done. These Wizards members have seriously disrespected my site, and others too, from what I hear.
