Morrus,

Just adding my thanks to the many. You kept this place going when Eric stepped down, and actually managed to improve it. I will always be grateful to both you and Eric for giving us this community.

Best of luck in the "real" world, and in being able to enjoy EN World and the hobby.

Thanks and all that

I know how it feels, something fun turning into a chore, and eating up your hobby.

Reclaim the fun in your life!

M.

Morrus,
Thanks very much for everything you've done. From the vast amounts of information I have learned to the fun I have had with the Story Hour and Rogue's gallery, this site has been a daily joy. I will echo the thoughts that have been expressed that if you need help running the place there are MANY people who will help out. I hope things become less stressfull for you and you enjoy getting back into gaming more often. Thanks again! and again! and again! and again! and again! and again! and again! and again!...

Russ-

I want to add my thanks to you for running ENWorld and making it a greatr place to hang out online. I've made some friends here, and making friends is something that can't be quantified, so all I can say is thanks for what you've done here. I understand what it's like to have a hobby turn into a job. I've been there. It's no longer fun when you have to get up everyday and look it square in the eye and know that what you once loved has turned into the daily grind. A hobby should be for relaxation, something you turn to when you need a break from the stress of everyday life. Best of luck with your new job! I'll keep coming here to take a break from mine. :)

I know you don't know me from a hole in the ground but I just wanted to add my thanks and praise to the others. I've been coming here for quite awhile actually (watched it change over from Eric) and I'm continually impressed that it keeps getting better. The ideas, insights and advice from the tons of great people here make this one of the best D&D sites out there.

If you need to take a step back so you can enjoy this as a hobby again, then that's what you need to do. Dude, how could you go two years without gaming?! :p Hope you find the fun again.

I'll add another "we understand, Morrus, do what you have to do" to the chorus of support.

As we all know, ENWorld is a pretty friendly place. And we like to see our friends happy. So, go be happy.

At least now you get to commiserate with Mr. Noah about the joys of reclaiming your amateur status...

Thanks for all the hard work, and keep on trukkin'.

Play Original D&D (1974) :D

Or try something that's actually fun...;)

I don't see this as the end of anything really. More of a change of perspective. I'm glad you're going to be able to continue running ENWorld even in a 'diminished' capacity. And most importantly you'll be able to enjoy youre hobby again - that is a huge plus.
