Restoring Books and even Spell Books back to original condition. How?

Hello again everyone,

I have noticed a surprising lack of spells that cater towards putting things back together again when the circumstances are... difficult. Mending is fine for simple things and Make Whole is quite adequate for run of the mill books that have not been dealt with too harshly. What is the next step up or is their a deliberate void?

To fill you guys in, Lucifus Cray (See the story hour below if you want to have a fun and dramatic read) has done some rather foolish things. To those who know the character, this is not that surprising but anyway. With a little too much non-chalance, he dispelled the protective runes off one of the spellbooks he "found" but let loose the destructive magic of the other one - treacherous banshee that is my d20. Unfortunately, the other book was the good one - 7th level and higher spells!

He has the tattered crumbs that were left over but he needs to somehow put them back together. Is this possible?

Interestingly enough, being the book merchant that he is, he has also found an ancient Lich's library that has gone to dust. This might be a little easier to do but with all the crumbs mixed together, it also presents difficulties - even being that most of the books in it were not magical. Lucifus is upon the cusp of achieving 8th level spells.

If anyone has any suggestions from the official Wizards library - including the complete books etc. but not FR material - it would be sincerely appreciated. Alternatively, if there is anything out there, Lucifus might be able to create a spell to cater for these circumstances.

Best Regards

If Mending (0) can repair minor stuff, Make Whole (2) can fix larger issues, then repairing something very far gone should be about a level 4 spell effect; Limited Wish should do the job.... but it costs 300 exp.
