Return of Creature by Poll - The Creature thus Far

Interesting thoughts, all. I was thinking "an eye for an eye" when I read the definition. I pictured its master/summoner using it to mete out exact revenge for some wrongdoing.

Quite true.

OK, so....we've got a shattered/broken/anti-inevitable. I'll toss out another poll to help solidify the concept.

Start pitching your suggestions for the creature's name (both the name of the overall "anti-inevitables" and the individual type), concepts for its description, modifications to its abilities to fit the concept, etc.

Let's see if we are still in niche - Nutcracker/Melee Hurter. Nutcracker is fulfilled by Arcane Fire and Swarm attack. Melee Hurter is fulfilled by Swarm Attack and Distraction, but might use a bit more. Something that makes an opponent think twice about actually attacking it. Maybe the swarm form is a veritable maelstrom(!) of blades, needles and sharp disks that can coalesce into a shape made up of sharp animated stuff.

Opportunist and Precise Strike would likely only be available in coalesced form. In that form, it might have a natural rapier attack.

For arcane fire, it would be useful for the creature to have spell-like abilities. That way, we can use most of the text. ;) Rename the ability to needle strike, dealing piercing damage, subject to DR?

For some reason, the name Kestenjar just appeared in my mind - for the single creature?
For the famility of anti-inevitables - infallibles?
Of course, those'll get a poll.

Great ideas all around, and I like the name.

Any other suggestions for names or alteration to its powers?

"Their forms vary, but all inevitables are gold-and-silver clockwork creatures, with gears and pistons where muscles would be on flesh-and-blood creatures."

I can see a whole bunch of gears and pistons among the blades, needles, and sharp disks.
