After too little sleep, the halfling finder makes his way to the common room for a hearty meal before making his appointment with the double. Adopting a stooped pose and a dark cloak with a deep hood he makes his way to the docks and takes ship.

Upon being reunited with his companions he greets them with a smile. "I trust everyone had an uneventful night? Any progress on the cyphers?"

Aunil pulls his cloak tight around him, fighting off the bitter winds. "I have had no luck with my test. I fear it is beyond me right now. My patience will pay off." the elf says matter-of-factly.

Valeire would try his divinatory magic on the journal--detect magic, read magic--and look for any obvious simple cyphers--every fifth letter, or if some words seem forced look for a simple substitution.
