Review Project take two

Hmm..maybe I wasn't cl;ear. You gan get free books. Everyone likes free. All you have to do is review it, and reviewing is not hard. It can take a bit of time but if you are low on time you can ask for a small PDF. Trust me, reviewing a dozen page PDF does not take as long as say a 500 page book. I'll try to get a PDF to you that you can have use for. If you want a something awsome from the fine guys of Sword's Edge Publishing just ask. I'll see what I can do.

I just agreed to review an EN publishing PDF in a seperate thread, so while I have not requested any new PDF's from you Crothian, I should have a 3rd review out soon.

I'm also helping RW out. After I get 3 or so reviews under my belt, I'd be glad to help you out with your project as well.

I'd like to add Alternate Realities Publications to the list of participating publishers, but...

After that fiasco with the PDF that sat around for two years, we'd much rather have a means of directly delivering the PDF from the publisher to the reviewer when the reviewer is ready for it.

Crothian, for some strange reason, the last time I took a look at the review project I thought you almost had too many, which was why I didn't participate.

I'm finishing a review of EN Guild: Adventurers Guild this weekend and will start on a new one next week. Do you have any preferences or immediate needs?

I also found the original Review Project thread only after it was around 170 posts long, and by that point figured that Crothian had a bazillion reviewers already lined up. But I also realized that it wouldn't hurt to ask, so I fired off an email and sure enough, I've been sporacially reviewing PDFs ever since!

So the moral of the story is: if you're even remotely interested, give it a shot.

Cheers,
Vurt

I imagine the length of the review thread is due to the same reason that many publishers stopped sending out review copies. We send out so many, to get so few reviews. I imagine at times it is 5% or less actually review after being sent copies.

Allow me to state this for the reocrd: there is no such thing as too many reviewers. I send out old stuff, I send out new stuff. I send out stuff that hasn't been reviewed, I sned out things that have been reviewed a dozen times. The purpose here is to get some reviews done, so anyone out there that would be interested give it a try. It is just one review, if you don't like it then you can move on. There is no contract to sign just gaming books to review,

Well, the track record here is a bit higher then 5%, right now about 75% of the PDFs I've sent out have been reviewed. But I can understand the fruistration, personally anything less then 100% is a disappointment

I'll have to check when RW sent me copies of EoMR and LA for review, it was certainly before I started with the review project.
