I think there's an error in the errata. The updated Double Scimitar and Zulaat have their entries confused as the Double Scimitar's secondary half is considered an axe, which I think is supposed to be the Zulaat.

Oh so that's what happened, thanks. The axe entry on the double scimitar was driving me nuts.

Also,
Ding dong, the bloodclaw's dead, the bloodclaw's dead. Ding dong, the wicked claw is dead. (and recklessness)
If nothing else, this will keep the ranger from killing himself faster than what the monsters could do to him.

Tons of good fixes in there. A couple overreactions and/or things are still off... but so many loopholes closed and overpowered things knocked down to size. Bravo.

I do wonder at the lack of Dragon stuff, though. Grasp of the Grave, Summer, etc.

Dragon stuff is updated in the compendium, although Greg did mention he will try and get a list together.

I have to say I think a lot of these are over-reactions. There's a point at which these sort of revisions become little more than change for the sake of change, rather than actually fixing something that is imbalanced. And at that point, these things become punishments for creativity.

I agree, the rit ring did not need to be errated in my mind... what one do you think were 'too much'

The ritualist ring broke item creation... so its change was for a good reason. I think Reckless was over the top, since it's one attack now, but you can't trigger after you hit, and you get the penalty regardless. Especially with it higher level than Bloodclaw. Make it one / encounter on hit like they changed Bloodclaw, and I'm all for it though.

Unicorn's Touch is pretty crappy for a daily. I'm sure there are others.

The two things that immediately stand out as a fan of the Avenger are the Bloodclaw nerf and Armor of Faith nerf. Avengers had their weakness (Fort), and AC was supposed to be a strong-suit. And suffering damage, even if it amounted to a small amount, is still using up a resource that Avengers have precious little of (not in hit point totals but in healing surges).

The bloodclaw nerf also affects barbarians so I'm not sure it was such a bad thing, but still, it's turned what was a decent weapon into a pointless weapon. Once per encounter just isn't a big enough incentive to use it at all now.

EDIT: OMG, AND they've nerfed Divine Guidance and made it Divine Fate. Doesn't work for attack rolls anymore, only saves and skill checks.

These kinds of sweeping changes are BS.

EDIT 2: Wait, as if those multiple nerfs weren't enough, they've also gotten rid of Abjure Undead from the Avenger's list of abilities.

Not. Happy. Jan.
