RIDDLE 18
==========

I am so simple
That I can only point
Yet I guide men
All over the world

A Compass needle.

(Rant) Incidentally, the compass was invented in the east somewhere before 1,000 AD, and in common use throughout Europe by 1300, yet it never appears in D&D equipment lists! (/Rant)

RIDDLE 19
==========

Three lives have I
Gentle enough to soothe the skin
Light enough to caress the sky
Hard enough to crack the rocks

(Stolen from the Greyhawk Inn board ...)

Answers are to be guessed, not given (source is Riddle #20 :)).

"You've bested me, Jack! Bested me, bested me!" - Gelf.

[Edit: Aaarrrrrrggghhh! The Steverooo fumbles his Knowledge (Nature) check! Of course it's water! (Blush!)]

I'm considering giving that one to my player

Complete this sequence

3
13
1113
3113
132113
1113122113

Is this too hard/easy?

Too hard, for me! I was thinking Base-4 Primes (3, 7, 37), but I doubt that's it... Better give'm a hint!

Stahn Li has the right answer ti the riddle. I think it's a very clever one. I'm playing with 2 maths wiz so that might be a problem since they'll probably try to figure out an answer using the pi number or "calcul differentiel et integral" ====> sorry don't know the translation to that.

Some nice riddles on the thread and will possibly use some of them too.

Now what about puzzles? Any good ones out there. I'm running "The Sword of the Dales" and despise the one in the module ie you have to figure out the opposed school of magics and place things accordingly.
