Ridiculous Characters?

Squnk

First Post
I recently starting DMing for the first time with a new group, for most of them this is their first experience with d&d and with tabletop games for that matter. And it is pretty interesting some of the characters they want to play, one being a half dragon mindflayer and another being a half orc bard.

I have nothing against ridiculous characters like these, it just makes me laugh, and it has always been my experience that with new players it is always good to let them get it out of their system. But it made me wonder what other ridiculous characters have other people played?

So I hope some of you might share some of your stories of characters that have been strange, powerhouses, obscure, or just plain ridiculous.

Don't know what's too ridiculous about it. It's meant to be fun, right? And the idea of a Half Dragon Mind Flayer doesn't sound half bad if given enough room to work with. Double the natural weapons and speacial attacks either one of them has on their own...what class is it progressing as? Favored Soul?

Minotaur Bard FTW!!!

The last I remember about Mind Flayers is that they are injected into humanoid hosts and over the course of X amount of hours/days/what have you, they completely overwrite the host.
Having a "Half Illithid" something does't make much sense that way >.>

A Druid in a group I DMed for had a Commoner-5 Cohort - who had also been Reincarnated as a Polar Bear... (homebrew Reincarnate table)

We played in a campaign in which the DM allowed us to use Savage Species rules a few years back. In that game, the most interesting build - don't want to call it ridiculous - was played by a friend who made a feral mineral warrior anthropomorphic baleen whale. Now THAT was an unusual character, what with his swim speed and burrowing speed. Anyone remember Blowhole from the old Tick cartoons? ;)

Gespatcho the Priest: Owns a large brewery and fights with a +2 Holy Beer Stein. He was awesome because he got almost 1/2 the NPCs in the campaign drunk in one night.

my first character was a 1/2 fiend ogre barbarian who couldnt decide on the name he wanted to go by. he liked to throw creatures at other creatures ( before fling enemy feat came out) and his favorite weapons were goblins, kobolds, and halflings. he was a blast.

I had one player who played Pom-Pom the Orc bard. She played the drums as her instrument and, to earn extra money, would dance and break things in bars until people paid her to stop.
