Ring of Readiness?

If I recall correctly, in 2nd edition there was a magic item called a Ring of Readiness. It allowed a character to instantly summon some associated item into readiness, generally they were used to bring a weapon instantly into a character's hand or to instantly don a full suit of armor. Did this item make it into 3.5 or 3e? If so, does anyone know where I could find the stats for it, market price, rules, etc.

Thanks to any who answer in advance.

I'm not sure if its been converted to 3E/3.5. However, a Glove of Storing can perform a similar function with hand-held objects.

There's the calling ability [+1 bonus] that can be added on armor or shields. It's in the defender's of the faith. Gloves of storing do work fine and Heward's Handy Haversack allows the person to reach into the bag and what they are looking for is on top. Not quite the same, but cool nonetheless. Gloves of Storing and HHH are in the DMG.

Thanks, those were exactly the kind of answers I was seeking. Anything to figure out a way to keep a fighter's heavy armor at the ready during those inevitable interrupted rest break. By the way, Dog Moon2003 how quickly can one call armor into existance around a character, or does the calling ability simply call armor into the proximity of the character? Thanks again to both of you.

The Called ability has the armor or shield appear in its proper position on the character's person at the end of the action.
