Roadhouse 2

Aside from the Meaning of Life, I think the question that needs most answering is, "How did Patrick Swayze have an acting career for as long as he did?" I mean, it's not quite Pauly Shore, but, damn...Oh, wait, I know, women go to movies too... ;)

Not a movie career, as much as a singing career...

"She's like the wind/through my tree-ees..."

And hey, "To Wong Foo..." was mighty funny! :)

Which was it's ONLY redeeming quality, IMO.

"Pain don't hurt."

That line....defines that film so much.

A movie about a Zen bouncer, mentored by an apparently alcoholic rubadub, who think a good night on the town is to get hammered in a cafe, dancing and drinking beer while people come in for breakfast.

Who needs Casablanca?

Hey all! :)

I totally love the original movie...in fact I actually own it on VHS.

I agree it has some of the most notorious one-liners and cheesy pieces of dialogue ever, many of which don't even make sense, but that all adds to the charm of it.

I can't really say what are my favourite scenes but I always get a chuckle from the

"Well aren't you gonna kiss 'em?" scene

and the

"But I'm on my break!"
"Stay on it!" scene.

Classic stuff. :D

As for the sequel, they should bring in Patrick Swayze to be the mentor this time (although obviously he can never fill Sam Elliots shoes).

It's been on several cable stations a lot lately - GREAT quotes. "I want to you be nice - until it's time to not be nice."

I've just convinced myself to play a D&D monk based on Dalton.
