Kaiji goes back in, but he does not speak immediately, he lets the silence fall upon Po.

"Your crime has been hideous, Po, and you won't be forgiven." Another pause.
"But, if you prove yourself useful, your life will be spared."
Another pause then he resumes with a softer tone
"Crab samurai are merciful indeed, but you'll have to earn that mercy. Tell me everything you know about the Black Fan and the Iron Crab. And don't even think about lying to me, or keeping something to yourself. I'll know if you say the truth."

Po blanches and nods slowly, "I will not lie to you, great Shugenja-sama, I only wish to live, and make amends for my transgressions, Po is your humble servant."

Po gulps slowly, "The Black Fan, we are a band of men, dedicated to bringing justice... err commiting crimes against the righteous and most just samurai. They are fools, and misguided, I ain't ever hurt anyone, really I haven't. I just wanted to get some extra rice, and maybe some sake, I am just a drunkard," he pleads, before continuing, "The Iron Crab is our leader, she meets with my, err the other's boss, Kyone, a big brute of a man. A ronin from the looks of him, up to no good he is, I can show you the camp, just please spare me, I wish to make amends!"

Kaiji sometimes look at his crab friends to see if they know what Po is talking about or if they recognize the names, continuing to ask questions to him.

"So where and when did this Kyone recruit you?
How many did he recruit?
Who attacked the magistrate?
Do you know the Iron Crab's name?
Can you describe her?
Where does she meet Kyone?"


OOC: Tokiwong, can I use commune with elements to ask a water kami to show me the Iron Crab's face?

"How many men are in this Black Fan?" says Michiba who as been watching from the back.

 

[Chauzu]

"...And importantly, where are the headquarters of this Black Fan?"

Po cracks under the pressure and gulps loudly before replying to the barrage of questions, "Shugenja-sama I am but a lowly servant, our number is few, in this region, less then fourteen in number, I swear it, counting those you have killed. Kyone led the attack himself on the magistrate, he was qquite happy to kill, and took great pleasure in taking the fallen samurai-ko's daisho..." he gulps.

Po gathers his breath, "He leads the rest, I know where the camp is, though, if any of us escaped, then he would surely know that his time is few, but his strength is no match for your honor..."

Po's voice cracks, "Kyone, the bastard, meets with the Iron Crab once a week or so, they meet at a hidden place, I do not know where, he made it a point to go alone. I have not seen this Iron Crab personally, but she is fearsome, indeed, very fearsome, she keeps Kyone in line..."

None of the samurai have heard of this Kyone.

Po continues, "The Black Fan, stays spread, and mobile, though I heard Kyone mention once, about the Fortress, though I do not know where this place could be."

Kaiji could possibly ask the water spirits to bring the visage of the woman, he is seeking though it would take a water spirit with knowledge from varying places, like that of a river, creek, or a large lake, about a mile from town there is a winding brook that could serve that purpose.

Kaiji stops a moment to think.

"Po, if a friend of yours wanted to join the Black Fan, what should he do? Who should he talk to?"

Po gulps, "Well he would need get in contact with Kyone, and that isn't too hard, the uhh, local sake house, the owner's son, works for Kyone on the side, but well, I, don't want to get him into trouble, Kyone is forcing the kid, if he does not cooperate he is going to kill him, or at least that is what I heard."

 

[Tokiwong]

"...And importantly, where are the headquarters of this Black Fan?"

Po winces, "I can show you, Samurai-sama, Po can show you you the way, he can."

 

[Chauzu]

Po winces, "I can show you, Samurai-sama, Po can show you you the way, he can."

Takane looks at the others and then back at Po. "That is good." The samurai then turns back to the others. "When shall we leave?"
