If you're anything like me, Unseelie, the rules for the LARP in which you play yourself pretty much blow.

I guess you never got The Lifebook of Feats, huh?

I mean, sure, Lottery Winner is broken, but if your DM lets you take it...

From Military Days:
Handgun
Rifle
Assault Rifle
Anti-Tank Weapons
Tactics
Judo
Navigation (Land, Sea and Air)
First Aid
Bootlicking (from Paranoia) :D

Now:
Diplomacy (Dealing with Parents and Children)
Bluff
Profession (Teacher)
Knowledge (Mathematics)
Knowledge (Computers)
Sport (Tennis)
Animal Handling (Raise Iguanas)

I would say I have Knowledge: Fantasy (specialty Tolkien) and Knowledge: Sci-Fi (specialty Star Trek). Maby I could be a bard retelling stories from the old world like in that scene from Reign of Fire? Hummm...I'll have to remember to raise my CHA next time I level. :)

I guess clerk would be a Profession. Without computers its back to actual files and file cabinets. :) Would Typing be a seperate skill or would it be subsumed under Profession?

I can Drive but not very well. Automatic transmission only.

I learned how to shoot a Bow but I havn't done it since I was 10. I am a little more practiced in Rifle but I have not been to a range since high school. I have learned basic stuff over the years from being on camping trips, boy scouts, working on a farm, and JROTC. I can't say I remember too much Survival. Then again, it might come back to me if my life depended on it.

I think I also have the Prepared for the End feat. Thanks to my semi-crazy survivalist family I have access to lots of gear, a place to hole up, supplies, all that good stuff.

Hmmm, lets see...

Knowledge:
History
Science (catch all for Chemistry and Biology)
Architecture and Engineering (Physics and Electrical Theory, Thermodynamics, Materials, etc)
Computer Programing
Computer Repair
Electronics

Speak Language: German
Write Language: German (if you're using d20 Modern)

Craft (Art)
Craft (Electrical Device)

Bluff

No Weapons Proficiencies (I'm not much of a fighter)

Think that's about it,
Erge

Hmmm...

Knowledge (History, especially Medieval England)
Knowledge (Religion, especially Medieval Theology)
Knowledge (Ornamental -- trivia on a very wide variety of topics)
Knowledge (Literature -- especially Medieval & Arthurian, but with a lot of others -- I own about 3000 books)
Knowledge (Nature, basically IDing wildlife, especially marine life, due to a fascination with cephalopods)

very basic proficiency with Broadsword, Battleaxe, Heater Shield, Spear, Dagger, Rifle

Wilderness Survival (a bit more than weekend camping, but not by much)

Guile

Profession: Storytelling
Profession: Teaching
Profession: Writing (or Editing/Proofreading, for specifics)
Craft: Cooking (the wonders of being a confirmed-by-others bachelor)

Read German (and a bit of Speak German)
Read Latin
Speak (dribbles of about a dozen languages, most of them on food-and-armour level...)

Probably a bit more.

Of course I would fall down nowadays in almost all physical stats, but my Int and Cha would be fairly high ;)

I did play in a game where we played ourselves once, and it's possibly my favorite campaign ever.

I've done the same a few times (Traveller, AD&D and Alternity Dark*Matter). The most successful was Dark Matter, AD&D and Traveller were munchkin silly. The difference was in the Dark Matter campaign, you didn't make your own stats or skills, the other players determined your rank for you. It made very realistic characters.

You must have a close group that will not get offended when they don't end up just like they think they are. It was very instructional on how members of the group saw each other.

Apparently I'm smart but my dex sucks. ;) I also have stupidly spent tons of ranks to get good at driving and surfing because my dex is pathetic. I only had a couple in game useful skills (Computers- tons of ranks, but my driving was second to somebody else in the group). The campaign itself led to some other fine moments, but the character creation was the best.

Nobody posted to this thread thinking it was titled "Role-Playing WITH Yourself", did they?

...

...cause *I* sure didn't. Nope.

Thanks, that's all.

I'm going to go by an old FASA system that is based on skills from 0-100 (100 being the highest.)

0-10 Passing familiarty or basic instruction. (Basic high school equivalency).

11-20 Formal instruction or infrequent use of skill. (Advanced High School or other types of instruction.)

21-40 Advanced instruction and basic mastery. (College instruction, professional use or advanced personal training.)

41-60 Certified as holding an advanced degree, certification or governmental permit to perform this skill. (College BA)

61-80 Holds advanced degree, certification, or top level governmental permit. (Masters Degree)

81-95 Holds top level certification in chosen field. (PhD)

96-00 Recognized innovator in chosen field. Very rare.

That being said....I have...
