Roleplaying Game Taken to Court

This is really an interesting concept. I never thought of the possibility of selling such things. I find it hard to believe with allof the cheat codes available in games, that people would be willing to pay anything for the character and items. I guess that is why my wallet is empty.
The point is that these are all online, persistent games. There are no "cheat codes" for games like this. The occasional bug, yes... but exploiters usually get deleted entirely. Another example of a game like this are Diablo 2 (I've seen insane eBay auctions with bows going for $600).

For me, all the legalities of this quickly get very confusing. But I really don't see anything wrong with exchanging online items for money; if the other person is willing to pay and knows exactly what they are getting, they should be allowed to trade/pay/whatever for it.
