Ryan, I think it is problematic to post pictures of women without their permission, in a way that it is not problematic to post pictures of men. Not wanting to stray into political discourse here at EN World, I won't elaborate. However, you're a bright kid, so I think you can probably figure out what I am implying. If you can't, feel free to PM me and I'll explain.

I'm not angry, and you haven't offended me. I just thought you exhibited less than perfect judgment. We all do that sometimes, you know?

It isn't just the sex, it's the context. I wouldn't be happy if one of my ex's posted pictures of me, my name, and a history of our relationship on a public forum on the internet. I think it violates my privacy.

Perhaps you should read msd's post. He explained a good bit of it. Since you are a woman, I would assume that you actually do understand that we women must be more conscious of our personal safety than men need be. That's another part of it. I won't go into more detail because to do so would requrire a socio-political explication that is out of bounds here.

However, you can feel free to visit www.nothingland.com and pick up the discussion there, where politics are not out of bounds. If my answer in this post is not clear enough for you, then that's your only option, I'm afraid.

For what reason? Because I have to tell you, the idea makes me uncomfortable. None of those women gave permission to have their pictures posted on the internet (I assume. Ryan will correct me if I am wrong, I hope) and you don't know any of them. Why would you want to archive their images?

I like RWs story and the photos help to accentuate it. Although you are right though, Buttercup and am personally sorry if I have offended you in any way. I see how I was erroneous to think that way, after having slept on it. Some them I do know, from being here at the boards.

One thing I noticed about ENWorld is that the "no personal attacks" rule keeps it very friendly, this makes it easy to forget that you most likely never see posts which disagree with you or what you typed, out of the thousands of readers, you might see a few which think it is great! A lot of the other side simply never gets said because many people find it hard to say something negative without that coming off as an attack and getting them warned or banned. It may help to remember that although you only see positive posts there may be quite a few naysayers out there.
