Rouges sux!

Now that I've got your attention, I'll get right to it: many of us find it hard to spell 'rogue' correctly, and I've found a solution. If you're not sure how to spell it 'properly,' spell it as ROGE. Heck, spell it as ROGE even if you do remember the 'proper' spelling! 'Cause let's be honest; a U has no place in that word, unless we're creating a slang term for a small elemental man who acts outside the social norms of his people.

That's why I preferred the old term: Thief.

Because NOBODY ever messed up theif!

What about using a plural noun and an intentionally-misspelled singular verb?

Why are you complaining about the rogue/rouge issue when there is a far more serious issue that NEVER gets the attention it deserves?

IT'S and ITS

Soon I think I will start sending people money by Paypal if they actually know the difference between ITS and IT'S. It will only cost me about USD3 per day because so few know which is correct in which situation.

Of course, this raises the wider issue of the use of the apostrophe. Frankly, if I was Morrus I would ban any person for three days who uses an apostrophe to create a plural form of a word.

Surely in a hobby populated by more than its (note the correct use) fair share of semi-autistic, anally-retentive pedants that there are more than five of us who know how to use the apostrophe correctly.

So, please, stop complaining about r'o'g'u'e and r'o'u'g'e and start taking the corrupters of that most innocent piece of punctuation, the apostrophe, to task.
