Another vote for Toughness. I don't even like wasting it on mooks.

I don't think Combat Casting is that bad, especially for NPC's. Nothing is more frustrating as having a BBEG fail a Concentation check. CC is a good quick fix.

Even my 3rd level Illusionist NPC has Skill Focus: Concentration. ;)

Metamagic sucks!

I vote Quicken Spell off the island! I'm ready to vote all metamagic off, because I think the spell level adjustment combined with the cost of a feat slot is way too much. I'm starting with Quicken Spell because -- well, I had to start somewhere.

A few other feats are also in the same territory. I thought about Toughness; I agree with several other posters that it's ridiculous how underpowered it gets once you have a decent pile of hit points from your class levels. In the end I decided that I can imagine a 1st level sorceror or wizard with average or lower Constitution taking it. By the time he gets to 3rd level he'll wish he had taken some other feat, but maybe without the Toughness he wouldn't have survived up to that point? So it has a use.

At any rate, it looks like Toughness is leaving this round, so I won't get my chance to vote it out. I'm still sticking to my guns. Bye-bye metamagic!

SIMPLE WEAPON PROFICIENCY.

There is hardly anyone even able to take this! Almost everyone gets it for free. I mean, come on!

Methinks you took my reasoning for the Armor Proficiency feats and did me one better.
