Roundabout Charge - For Rogue

Istar

First Post
I have just re-read this feat and it seems a lot more useful than I first thought.

Does anyone use it ?

As long as my Rogue is 2 or more squares away I can charge, but then move to any adjacent square to the enemy, thereby putting myself in a CA position ?

In some cases effectively leaping over the enemies lines to be behind the enemy and flanking due to the fighter or paladin being on the opposite side.

It seems to better than just moving, as moving around enemies I might have to pass a square and offer an Opp. attack.

I haven't reread the normal charge requirements but that could work as well:

Y = You; E = Empty Squares; M = Monster; A = Ally

EEEE
EMME
EMME
AEEY

Charge:

EEEY
EMME
EMME
AMME

Of course you would be subject to an OA. But only useful when you are dazed or something else out of the normal.

yes it works.
as long as you do legal movement and move at least 2 squares you can charge into any adjacent square.
It's pretty good for charge oriented builds. A good reason to multi-class into Rogue for charge crazy barbarians, for instance.

It also works well with the Surprising Charge feat, which lets you add 1[W] to any attack you make when you charge and have CA. These are the next two feats my rogue is eyeing.
